Château Mercian Katsunuma Winery

The Shichiken sake brewery in the Daigahara post town on the Koshu Kaido. Staff-led tours cover Anzaisho, the room where Emperor Meiji stayed, and Denso-gura, which displays the Kitahara family’s art and documents.

Sadoya Winery

Kofu, Yamanashi

A winery a five-minute walk from JR Kofu Station. The tour explores an underground cellar of roughly 700 tsubo and includes one glass of a recommended wine.

Monde Winery Tour

A 30-minute tour that views the production lines through glass and visits the cellars and production areas while explaining how the wine is made.

Marufuji Winery (Rubaiyat)

One of the oldest wineries in Katsunuma. A 15-minute tour covers the tasting room, underground cellar, gallery and barrel aging area.

Mars Yamanashi Winery (Hombo Shuzo)

Individuals can visit the cellars and bottling facilities without a reservation on a self-guided basis. Travel agencies and bus companies must book at least five days ahead. Free tastings are available at the shop.

The Far Yeast Beer Adventure (Far Yeast Brewing Genryu Brewery)

The Far Yeast Brewing brewery in Kosuge village near the source of the Tama River, with an adjoining restaurant. Visitors can pour a range of craft beers themselves.
