Good to know
- Book the local guide tour through the Urakata reservation system; for inquiries call 072-971-6334. Second and third preferred dates are requested. A private tour is not guaranteed and you may be grouped with others.
- Duration is not stated for the guide tour; the Christmas event takes about 2-2.5 hours.
- Steps, stairs and uneven dirt paths: strollers and wheelchairs cannot be accommodated. Japanese Sign Language guidance is available.
- The tour is for Japanese speakers; participants speaking other languages must call in advance.
- For the Christmas event, guests aged 16-19 may attend with a guardian aged 20 or older and are not served alcohol; drivers cannot taste. Whether the same applies to the guide tour was not confirmed.
- The local guide tour starts at the shop at 2-10-5 Taiheiji, Kashiwara. The Christmas event on 19 December 2026 meets at the museum at 2-9-6 Taiheiji. Shop hours: weekdays 10:00-18:00, weekends/holidays 10:00-17:00, closed over the New Year.
